I enjoyed A Gift of Dreams. I drew parallel experiences teaching Special Education children in the 1980’s and 90’s. Most of my kids were bright, intelligent, and eager to learn students. Their behavior “problems” usually sprang from lack of challenges in the classroom, too many distractions from outside sources including their peers or parental conflicts. However, I found that music, art, writing, were and continue to be excel opportunities for most kids, which is why we can’t do away with these subjects. Bravo, Mr. Benjamin! You tackle a tough subject.
